Kansas City, Mo. Parks and Recreation has programs for people of all ages and abilities. From aerobics to social groups, each community center offers programs unique to the seniors in our community. Meet new friends, try new things and share your talents with others.

Well-Seasoned Seniors
This program brings seniors together to socialize while having fun through activities such as computer classes, luncheons, crafts, games, trips, community projects, and much more.

Seniors Spa Days Do-It-Yourself
This 6-week program will teach participants the natural way to pamper themselves. Participants will learn to make all natural spa products such as bathsalts,moisturizers, and massage oils. Participants will also take home products made in class.

Senior Prom
This program brings seniors together to socialize. Seniors will have a raffle to crown a Brush Creek King and Queen of the Center.

Seniors on the Move
“Seniors on the Move” is a great way to make friends.  Participants enjoy activities such as exercising, field trips, Holiday celebrations, games, community activities and special-interest classes.

Silver Sneakers
An instructional chair exercise class for patrons who are members of Humana Health Care over the age of 50.  Seniors engage in routines to improve strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Silver Splash
An instructional water fitness class for patrons who are members of Humana Health Care and are over the age of 50.  Seniors engage in routines to improve strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Senior Computer Class
This class is designed to teach and assist seniors with basic computer skills and applications: Microsoft Word, internet, and setting up an e-mail address.

Senior Stretch
Low impact workout such as cardio-walking in place, optional running in place, arm exercises, chair crunches, leg lifts and squats.

MARC Senior Lunch Program
Provides a nutritional meal for the 60 plus population. Sponsored by Mid-America Regional Council for Aging.  Participants must call center for a lunch reservation 24-hours in advance.

SilverSneakers
The SilverSneakers program is a walking and exercise program developed for seniors. SilverSneakers offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially-oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health.

Senior Cardio/ Weight Room
Our cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical, upright and recumbent bikes and stairstep machines.  You can strengthen and tone all major muscle groups on the circuit machines or functional trainer.  Free weight equipment includes a half rack, smith machine and dumbbells from 5-100 lbs.  Staff is available to help you learn the equipment.
$15 monthly/ $5 daily

Sensational Seniors is a program that allow seniors to become active and engaged with their peers within the community.  Refreshments provided by the Southeast Church of Crist with a potluck luncheon every 4th Friday of the month. Come for fun, fellowship, games and more.

Members of Coventry Health Care through American Specialty Health Networks (ASH) will receive a standard membership with zero enrollment fees, and membership dues.  A member is eligible for Silver & Fit, and Active & Fit when their health plan or employer group elects to offer an ASH Networks silver & Fit / Active & fit benefit plan.  For more information concerning eligibility call 877-329-2746, option #2, Monday through Friday from 5 a.m.-6 p.m.

Golden Age Senior Club
Come out and join our senior group that meets every Tuesday.  Enjoy good entertainment, bingo, cards or just come meet some really nice folks.  Participants are asked to give a $1 donation for entainment.  Coffee, salty and sweet refreshments are brought in by the Club members on a weekly basis.  Every 3rd Tuesday a Pot Luck is held by the club and and everyone is asked to bring in their favorite food items.
