{CANCELLED} Black History Youth Forum at BRW

Charlie P - Jay ZDue to inclement weather, this event has been cancelled.  The Friends of Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center & Museum and Cherry Dzynes Sportsgear will host a special forum for youth to discuss the evolution of music in the 20th Century to the present. The event will occur, from 12-1 p.m.,  Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center & Museum Auditorium.

The forum will discuss various forms of music from jazz to R&B and Hip Hop while addressing current issues which are important for young people.

Following the forum guests can view the current exhibition, Charlie Parker Jazz Saxophonist: The Man, The Legend, & His Music– in conjunction with Paul Mesner Puppets. 

The forum will be moderated by renowned Kansas City Call Columnist, Mr. Eric Wesson.  The event is free and open to the public. For more information please call 816-513-0700.
