Mini-Pitch Opening at Ashland Square Park

KC Current, Target, Kansas City Parks and Recreation, and the U.S. Soccer Foundation will officially open a new mini-pitch at Ashland Square Park on July 15th at 3 p.m. The organizations teamed up to transform an under-used space at the park into a brand-new, state-of-the-art mini-pitch. This project is made possible through funding from KC Current and Target with support from Palmer Square Capital Investment, and builds on more than 100 mini-pitches the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Target have installed together since 2018.
Representatives from the city, KC Current, and U.S. Soccer Foundation will host the ribbon cutting ceremony followed by scrimmages on the pitch and a festival featuring other soccer activities, food, photo/autograph sessions, a DJ, and more. The event is free and open to all. Read More>>
