The Great Kansas City Cleanup

Mission: Litter-Free KC
Earth Day

Everyone is invited to participate in this massive citywide parks beautification event on Earth Day, April 22. This KC Parks event is a key part of the Great Kansas City Cleanup.

Volunteers can pick up litter at one of many sites throughout the day, or help remove invasive brush at Kessler Park/Gate 2 from 9a-noon. Bags, gloves, and location assignments will be available at each of the check-in areas. Registration is required at this link.

  • Indian Creek Trail (99th and Holmes Trailhead), 9 a.m. – noon
  • Indian Creek Trail (103rd & State Line), 9a-noon
  • Paseo Boulevard & 51st St., 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Paseo Boulevard & 57th St, 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Paseo Boulevard & Gregory, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • E. Meyer Boulevard (E. Meyer & Bellefontaine median), 9 – 11 a.m.
  • MLK Corridor/Brush Creek Greenway – Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, 9 a.m. – noon
  • MLK Corridor/Brush Creek Greenway – Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center, 9 a.m. – noon
  • Town Fork Greenway (57th & Agnes), 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Blue Valley Park (23rd & Topping), 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Invasive Brush Removal at Kessler Park, Gate 2, 9 a.m. – noon
  • Cliff Drive Gate 4 (Gladstone and Elmwood), 9 a.m. – noon
  • The Colonnade (200 S. Benton Blvd), 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Indian Mound Overlook, 2 – 5 p.m.
  • Mark McHenry Park, noon – 2 p.m.
  • Winnwood Park (NE 44th Street and N Cypress Ave.), 9a-noon
