Walktober 2023: Missouri Town

Celebrating five years of Walktober!!! Walk, ride or run a different trail the first four Sundays in October. The month of October is ideal for exercising outside ~ the temperatures are cool and the colors are spectacular. Walktober makes the most of this great season by inviting participants on a tour of autumn’s most vibrant landscapes and inspiring everyone to make movement a priority!! NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS LOCATION. Commemorative Walktober buttons, designed by artist Liz Vargas, for the first 200 participants at each location. Attend all four events and collect all four designs!

Location: Missouri Town Living History Museum, 8010 E Park Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086
Missouri Town Living History Museum – More than just a walk, participants will be able to experience a small Missouri town on the eve of the Civil War. The walk will take you through the living history museum with more than 25 buildings dating from 1822-1860 spread across 30 picturesque acres. Check-in at the visitors center outside of Missouri Town.
Guided Tour: 10:30 a.m., led by Missouri Town interpreter
