Celebrating five years of Walktober!!! Walk, ride or run a different trail the first four Sundays in October. The month of October is ideal for exercising outside ~ the temperatures are cool and the colors are spectacular. Walktober makes the most of this great season by inviting participants on a tour of autumn’s most vibrant landscapes and inspiring everyone to make movement a priority!! Dogs on leashes are welcome. Commemorative Walktober buttons, designed by artist Liz Vargas, for the first 200 participants at each location. Attend all four events and collect all four designs!

Location: Lake Vista Trail at Lake Jacomo, 22807 SW Woods Chapel Rd. Blue Springs MO 64015
This 5 mile crushed rock loop trail encircles Blue Springs Lake and has views of Lake Jacomo. The trail frequently passes limestone cliffs and outcroppings. Another highlight is a giant, arched footbridge that passes over a stream. There are multiple trail heads, making it easy to plan the distance you desire.
