KCMO Parks & Rec seeks community input on aquatics facilities

Kansas City Parks & Recreation is continuing to gather community input to help assess the conditions of the KCMO aquatic facilities. The next public meeting is from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17th at Line Creek Community Center, 5940 NW Waukomis Dr. This event is open to the public, and those interested in the future use of KCMO aquatics are encouraged to attend. All ages are welcome; this is a come-and-go event.

The gathering is being led by Waters Edge Aquatic Design, Lenexa, an aquatics-based engineering and design firm. The firm is hired to perform a facilities assessment on the existing conditions of all 27 of KCMO’s aquatic facilities. This includes indoor and outdoor pools, and spray parks.

Community input will help KCMO Parks & Recreation have a better understanding of what citizens favor about the current aquatics system, what citizens would like to have improved, and what citizens want to have available in the future.
