Ribbon Cutting for Kansas City’s largest urban orchard located
in the city’s largest park officially opened
the Urban Orchard in with a ribbon-cutting ceremony set in the
fruit trees. The orchard, located adjacent to
Swope Park the Off-Leash Dog Park in Swope Park, is
just over an acre in size and includes 200
fruit trees that will yield more than 1 million
pounds of fresh fruit over the next 20 years.
