SITE LOCATION: 1100 Prospect Ave. STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, & OPPORTUNITIES
CLASSIFICATION: Park Located in the Independence Plaza neighborhood, surrounded by
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 3 single-family residential, commercial/retail uses, and railroad track
PARK DISTRICT: QLID and industrial uses. This park is very accessible with the pavements in
good condition, near a bus stop on the 12th St. bus line and has pleasant
ESTABLISHED: 1973 walking trails around and through the park. This park has quite a few
ACREAGE: 7.2 Acres amenities with pleasant places to sit, a large well-kept soccer field, and
lots of open space. Opportunities for improvement include:
• Adding more sports fields in the large open space, the park has
