CLASSIFICATION: Park Not evident as a park, Dr. Jeremiah Cameron Park is located north of the
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 4 Country Club Plaza and across the street from the Vietnam Veteran’s

PARK DISTRICT: Memorial. Although visible from adjacent properties and being easy to
walk to from surrounding neighborhoods, the space does not offer any
ESTABLISHED: 2007 amenities or seating. There is no signage, only a sidewalk that leads
ACREAGE: .25 acres to a small limestone wall/bluff, and is not attractive. It appears to have
an average amount of maintenance but there was a lot of litter along
the road and a bike stuck up in one of the trees. KC Water Services
PARK AMENITIES is planning a utility project at this location that will likely disturb this
property and the park will be restored post-construction. Opportunties
for improvement include:
• Adding a new updated park sign
• Creating educational and interpretive signage to tell the story of Dr.
Jeremiah Cameron
• Improving pavement and adding several benches would also be a
nice addition to the park
