SITE LOCATION: Oak St. & 47th St. STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, & OPPORTUNITIES
CLASSIFICATION: Park Theis Park is located along Brush Creek and east of the Country
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 4 Club Plaza, surrounded by single and multi-family residential and the
Central
PARK DISTRICT: Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden. It is a very attractive
and well maintained park, very easy to walk to from the surrounding
ESTABLISHED: 1944 neighborhoods, provides many attractive seating options, promotes
ACREAGE: 13.81 acres a strong sense of safety and all of the amenities are in great condition.
There is also a variety of shade tree species throughout while leaving
an open area in the middle for flexible programming and large events.
PARK AMENITIES While the sidewalks are in good condition and are ADA accessible, it is
not a closed loop. Opportunities for improvement include:
• Benches (22) • Constructing a small section of sidewalk north of the ampitheater
