SITE LOCATION: Brookside Blvd. & E. 54th St. STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, & OPPORTUNITIES
CLASSIFICATION: Park Countryside Park is a small park located just north of the Crestwood
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 4 Shops on Brookside Blvd. The park consists of a mostly open grassy
South
PARK DISTRICT: area with few amenities, but does host a portion of the Harry Wiggins
Trolley Track Trail. Overall, the park and the trail appear to be very
ESTABLISHED: 1911 well kept. Being near to dining, shopping, and both single-family and
ACREAGE: .68 acres multi-family housing provide a generous amount of activity in the area.
Though this activity keeps the trail busy, without amenities there are
very few possibilities for potential events and revenue at this park. The
PARK AMENITIES location is busy enough that small pop-up events or similar could be
hosted in the open grass area. Opportunities for improvement include:
• Multi-Use Trail (1) • Updating KCMO signage to be consistent with the system and
• Trash Receptacles (2) inform visitors that the site is, in fact, a park
• Pet Waste Station (1)
