CLASSIFICATION: Park The Gambril Tract sits at the dead end of St. Catherine’s Lane in south
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 6 Kansas City and preserves 10 acres of forest and stream in the Blue
South
PARK DISTRICT: River watershed. The park provides a small playground, a small open
lawn, and a natural trail that rambles over hills and through forest. Like
ESTABLISHED: 1974 many park properties, this tract suffers from invasive exotic honeysuckle
ACREAGE: 10.1 acres but still harbors native wildflowers and benefits from connectivity with
large natural areas on either side. Potential improvements include:
• Management of invasive plant species
