Walk, ride or run a different trail the first four Sundays in October. The month of October is ideal for exercising outside ~ the temperatures are cool and the colors are spectacular. Walktober makes the most of this great season by inviting participants on a tour of autumn’s most vibrant landscapes and inspiring everyone to make movement a priority!! Dogs on leashes are welcome. Commemorative Walktober buttons, designed by artist Alex Hamil, for the first 200 participants at each location. Attend all four events and collect all four designs! 

Walktober will take place on the west side of the park by the Firefighters Memorial Fountain, Tennis Courts, Skateboard Park, the Lake, and The Scout; west of Broadway.

MORE: Penn Valley Park is an urban park overlooking Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The 176-acre park is home of the National World War I Museum & Memorial, an off-leash dog park, a lake,  and several fountains and sculptures including The Scout.
