Art Purchases Benefit Kansas City Parks and Recreation

KC Parks partners with Buttonwood Art Space for an all Kansas City exhibit with sales benefitting KC Parks

The Kansas City exhibition First Friday opening will be held on April 5, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64108. The gallery exhibit will feature more than 150 works of original artwork by more than 80 different artists. All artworks feature Kansas City themes, including icons, sports, jazz, the KC skyline, parks and more. Artwork includes: paintings, photography, mixed media, and 3D works. Guests may enjoy beer, wine and music during the event. The exhibit opening will be held in conjunction with KC Crossroads First Friday Art Walk. in April.

Purchases of art during the exhibition benefit KC Parks, Kansas City’s Parks & Recreation department. Fifty percent (50%) of each sale compensates artists for their beautiful art with the remaining fifty percent (50%) going to KC Parks as a donation. 50% of net proceeds from the exhibit will help KC Parks fulfill their mission to improve the quality of life, health and wellness of our community by providing socially equitable, community-driven programming and environmentally sound natural resource management.

The exhibit runs through June 19, 2024. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment.
