KC Parks is governed by a volunteer five-member Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor. The Board of Parks and Recreation holds public meetings twice a month on Tuesday at the Parks and Recreation Department headquarters in Swope Park, 4600 E. 63rd St. All meetings are open to the public.

The event is for patrons to view the inside of the buildings with history provided. No skits. Mansion, School, Church, and City Hall open with discussion. Other buildings will be gated and open for viewing. Admission - $5 per person. Ages 3 and under are free
