Next Practice Partners launches 1st Annual Rankings for Social Media Engagement in Parks and Recreation: Kansas City Parks & Recreation ranks #2 overall for 100 largest cities by population
“These rankings were created to inspire parks and recreation agencies to tell their stories…and more often. These agencies and their staff transform lives in their communities and more people need to know that.” said Neelay Bhatt Founder & CEO of Next Practice Partners.
The rankings are based on data obtained from the U.S. Census, National Recreation and Park Association, ETC Institute, agency websites and social media accounts, and social analytics tools. Collectively, it ranks the engagement for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to create an aggregated ranking model for Social Media Engagement.
This list ranks agencies in the Top 100 Cities by population for overall social media engagement and provides rankings and findings by individual social media. The top 10 agencies are from 9 different states and the top three overall are Cleveland Metroparks, Kansas City Parks & Recreation, and Cincinnati Parks.
In addition to being 2nd overall, Kansas City Parks & Recreation ranked as follows on specific platforms:
