    Description: This drinking fountain was originally located in an alcove of trees near the sea lion pool in the zoo was designed to be utilitarian as well as an artistic addition. A sculpture of a young girl sits atop a rectangular limestone base.  It is a memorial donated by Edith Norton to her mother Mary Fraser. The fountain is a simple art deco style. In 2000 it was conserved and re-plumbed and moved to the south. The fountain sits at the entrance to the African Veld at the Kansas City Zoo.
