Roanoke Road is maintained by Kansas City Parks and Recreation from Karnes Blvd. south to Valentine Rd.
HISTORY
Roanoke Boulevard, originally part of Roanoke Road, is the sole remaining brick road in the Kansas City, Missouri Parks System. This .3 mile section of Roanoke Road was constructed of red paver bricks. In 1971 this section of Roanoke Road was renamed Roanoke Boulevard and designated an historic landmark by the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners. In 1978 the brick surface was restored with pavers comparable to the originals.
