SITE LOCATION: W. 83rd St. & Oak St. STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, & OPPORTUNITIES
CLASSIFICATION: Park Waterworks Park sits on the bluffs just north of the Kansas City water
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 4 treatment plant on the west side of N. Oak Trafficway. It is best known

PARK DISTRICT: for its extensive disc golf course which attracts a regular crowd. Other
features include an internal park street, a park loop trail, and a picnic
ESTABLISHED: 1949 shelter. This park property technically includes the Children’s Fountain
ACREAGE: 21.25 acres which is at the intersection of N. Oak, Burlington, and N.E. 32nd Streets.
While attractive, this fountain is virtually inaccessible by pedestrians
due to the lack of sidewalks on the adjacent streets. KC Water owns
