STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, & OPPORTUNITIES
The Southeast Community Center is the newest of the centers. The
Community Center lobby is open and inviting with views to most of the amenities. There
5 is an abundance of natural lighting. The interior finishes are in good
condition. A car drove into the facility a year ago and caused serious
damage, but no one was hurt. A series of bollards were placed in front
of the facility for protection. The front offices were repaired and the tire
46,755 sf
marks removed from the concrete flooring. The indoor pool has had
issues since it opened due to the soil. The interior is under construction
where the current pool and two smaller pools will be completely
removed and reconstructed into a single larger pool. The roof leaks over
this area. The precast concrete panels are stained from exposed rebar.
Roof overflows are also staining the walls. The Christmas lights were
still on the facility. There are some exterior amenities such as basketball
and tennis courts. The front of the facility has a garden maintained by
another organization. The parking lot islands and some landscape
areas around the center need more landscape maintenance attention.
