Masterfully evolving from a variety of sources, both real and mythical, and expressing diverse meanings, the ambiguous hare has dominated Ken Ferguson’s pottery since 1985. Taken from the famed Aesop fable, The Race is Not Always to the Swift combines Ferguson’s hare with the Center’s icon, the tortoise, in a race to the unexpected finish.
