PARK DISTRICT: Gillham Park is the name given the chain of green spaces gracing
the periphery and the interior of Harrison Parkway and Gillham Road.
ESTABLISHED: 1902 The park is surrounded by hundreds of single-family and multi-family
ACREAGE: 58.84 acres homes, is extremely walkable, and is a defining feature for both the
Southmoreland and Hyde Park neighborhoods. The park has many
popular amenities such as the playground, splash pad, tennis courts,
PARK AMENITIES and rubberized running trail. Future improvements to consider are:
• Adding new KC Parks signage
