CLASSIFICATION: Park Sheila Kemper Dietrich Park lies just east of memorial Hill and Union
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 4 Cemetery at the northeast corner of E. 27th Street and Gillham Road.

PARK DISTRICT: The park is well known for its inclusive playground themed around
a large ship and sea creatures. The playground was first created in
ESTABLISHED: 1899 1999 and renovated in 2012. The playground is still in good condition
ACREAGE: 2.57 acres but sees lots of activity. The park also features tremendous pedestrian
access with an emphasis on ADA compliance. The tennis courts in
the northwest corner are in usable condition. The plaza spaces and
PARK AMENITIES multiple shelters create numerous opportunities for visitors to linger
and enjoy this urban park. Opportunities for improvement include:
