Granite slab with bronze plaque with bas relief of the profile of William Reid Royster.  Statue is on concrete base in front of large pool with fountains.

Inscription:

William Reid Royster, Comm. U.S. Navy Retired, City Councilman, Missouri State Legislator 1914-1972.  In remembrance of his dedicated service to his country, to his native State of Missouri and to his beloved Northeast.  “Home is the sailor, home from the sea, and the hunter home from the hill.”
