CLASSIFICATION: Park Ashland Square is surrounded on all sides with single-family residential.
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 3 It is easy to access from the neighborhood, offers great visibility, and a

PARK DISTRICT: nice picnic shelter. Recent improvements include the futsal court and a
renovated baseball field with new dugouts, fencing and backstop. The
ESTABLISHED: 1913 pool was last used before 2020. In 2022 the neighborhood approved
ACREAGE: 7.53 acres changing the pool to a sprayground, which is planned to be operational
in 2025. UMKC’s Center for Neighborhood studies informed the
evaluation of this park. Future upgrades could include:
