SITE LOCATION: E. 34th Terr. & Stadium Dr. STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, & OPPORTUNITIES

CLASSIFICATION: Park Yvonne Starks Wilson Park is located on the east side of Kansas
COUNCIL DISTRICT: 3 City adjacent to single-family residential and industrial land uses.

PARK DISTRICT: Although it is highly visible from Stadium Drive, it is not walkable from
the nearby neighborhoods due to topography and lack of sidewalks.
ESTABLISHED: 1943 The pavements are less than average, there was standing water
ACREAGE: 2.94 acres along the gravel road and in grassy open areas and there was a lot of
litter and illegal dumping in the park. The shelter is new and there is an
appropriate amount of parking. Since assessments lights have been
