Tuesday, February 27, 2024 5 p.m. KC Parks Administration, 4600 East 63rd Street Trafficway KC Parks is governed by a volunteer five-member Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor. The Board of Parks and Recreation holds public meetings twice a month on Tuesday at the Parks and Recreation Department headquarters in Swope Park, 4600 E. 63rd St. All meetings are open to the public. Saturday, March 2, 2024 10:30 a.m. – Habitats Lakeside Nature Center in Swope Park, 4701 E. Gregory Blvd. All scheduled hikes are open to the public. There is no fee. Hikes will be cancelled in severe weather – call the center (816-513-8960) for confirmation.
