and recreation needs
of Kansas City begins
with comprehending the
demographics of the
service area. Demographic
information was sourced from
the Environmental Systems
Research Institute (ESRI),
which uses 2020 Census data
and projections for 2022-
2027 by their demographers.
In addition to demographics,
ESRI also provides data
on housing, recreation and
entertainment spending, and
adult participation in activities.
Furthermore, data from the
National Sporting Goods
Association (NSGA) was
overlaid onto the demographic
profile to determine potential
participation in various
activities.
